Pregnancy causes a real transformation in the body of the expectant mother.
Her uterus enlarges to become the most important organ in her body. Her cardiovascular and respiratory systems must adapt to meet the blood and oxygen needs of both the mother and the growing foetus. The hormonal system is put to the test, and the liver's workload increases by 70% to enable all these adaptations.
The further along the pregnancy gets, the more the baby grows and the less room there is for the organs.
All these adjustments can sometimes be difficult and cause various aches and pains for the mother.
Similarly, on an emotional level, pregnancy can be a challenging period, a rollercoaster ride of tears and laughter, both for the woman and for the couple.
Seeking therapy support during these few months allows you to regain balance and well-being, take time for yourself and your baby, align your uterus to allow it to grow and contract when the time comes, in complete enjoyment, and prepare your body to open up for childbirth.
